When a visitor enters a name, county, state, or similar search detail into a sponsored search tool, that query is sent to the third-party provider that operates the tool. Knox County Inmate Population does not keep its own log of those search terms. Official jail and sheriff records are governed by Ohio public-records rules such as ORC 149.43, but searches typed into a private partner tool are handled under that partner's privacy terms.
Messages
If a visitor emails or sends a message about this site, the message content and return contact details may be kept long enough to respond, track the issue, and maintain ordinary business records. Those messages are not shared outside the organization unless a valid legal requirement applies.
